Service Description: The AT&T Messaging Toolkit enables small and medium business (“Senders”) to design and send mobile marketing messages in a variety of ways: text message, e-mail, links to and widgets for social networking sites, instant messaging, picture messaging and voice broadcasting.

Scope: These Terms and Conditions apply to individuals who opt-in to receive mobile marketing messages from one or more Senders. By signing up, you (the "Subscriber") consent to receive messages from the Senders to which you subscribe.

Contact Information: To start receiving messages, you must provide your contact information for each Sender from which you would like to receive messages. You must also specify each message type you would like to receive from those Senders. If you do not verify your contact information you will not receive messages.

Your contact information is captured into AT&T Messaging Toolkit in three ways:

  • You provide your name, mobile number, IM screen name and email address when you subscribe to a Sender's Online Sign-up Page or Facebook Widget;

  • Your mobile number is collected when you text a Sender’s Mobile Keyword to AT&T Messaging Toolkit’s short code; and

  • A Sender imports your contact information into AT&T Messaging Toolkit. Senders are only allowed to import contact information when they have the opt-in consent of the Subscriber to their collection of that information. Please report any abuse of this requirement by emailing mobilityabuse@att.com or delivering an SMS message to 7726. If the Sender imported your contact information without your permission, you can block the user from adding or importing it again as described below.

Contact Senders directly for information regarding their privacy policies or for other information about how they collect, use and secure the personal information they may collect about you.

Use of Web Beacons: Messages sent by Senders may include an AT&T Messaging Toolkit web beacon, which is a small graphic image that will collect limited information about certain events that may occur on the message page, such as when you open the message and other similar information. Blocking/Unsubscribing/Stopping Sender Messages: Every message you receive from a Sender provides ways to for you to block (or opt-out of) any future messages from that Sender. Please look for an “unsubscribe” or “block” ink at the bottom of any email or IM message you receive. Unsubscribe removes your contact information from the distribution list of the Sender that sent you the message. Block removes your contact information from the AT&T Messaging Toolkit system and additionally prevents the same Sender from adding you to its distribution list again. If you receive an unwanted SMS or MMS message on your mobile phone, please send a text message "STOP" to 99000 (a 5-digit mobile phone number) and follow instructions. NOTE: Sending the STOP command deletes your phone number from the Sender’s distribution list, but it will not unsubscribe or block your email or instant message screen name on the same distribution list. AT&T Messaging Toolkit takes all unsubscribe, block and STOP or block requests seriously.

NOTE: AT&T’s Messaging Toolkit Service is not intended for children under 13, and AT&T does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Some AT&T Messaging Toolkit Users may classify and rate their message content for recipients as suitable only for 21 years of age or older.
